Dundee shoppers will be able to enjoy the delectable treats and super stylish products on offer at three brand new stores making their mark at Overgate shopping centre.

Frozen yoghurt bar, Frolick, located on the first level of the mall next to Fuel, joins Codona’s Ice Cream on the ground level and JD Sports which has unveiled its new Dundee store adding to the diverse mix of retailers already on offer in the city’s shopping hotspot.

Jack Robins, owner of Frolick, the frozen yoghurt bar and Dundee local, said: “To open our first store in the city is massively exciting, we have been trading for a couple of weeks now and customers have really embraced the idea of trying something refreshing and different, which is fantastic.

“Overgate is the perfect place for us to make our debut as it features the best shopping experience Dundee has to offer, which is something we at Frolick are delighted to be part of.”

Overgate shopping centre has been awarded the prestigious accolade of Top Shopping Centre at the British Council of Shopping Centre Achieving Customer Excellence (ACE) Awards.

The British Council of Shopping Centre ACE Awards is an annual awards ceremony, held at the Shopping Centre Management Conference, to celebrate the best customer service in the UK retail property industry.

“As a centre we work hard to ensure every aspect of the customer’s experience has been considered and constantly strive to exceed our shoppers’ expectations.

Felicity talks to MS Society members before Overgate Firewalk Participants can expect a night to remember at the Dundee shopping hotspot as well as the opportunity to raise cash for a worthy cause on Thursday, February 6. And, with the event taking place just a week before Valentine’s Day, the shopping centre is appealing to loved-up couples to show their devotion for one another by braving the hot coals on the night. A full training session will prepare those taking part, for the challenge of walking 20 feet across burning embers at around 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. Shoppers will be able to watch the hair-raising extravaganza and cheer on the Firewalkers as they make their way over the scorching ashes to help people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). The MS Society is the leading charity for the 100,000 people living with MS in the UK. Most people are diagnosed in their 20s and 30s. MS is unpredictable, one day you can be fine, the next you might lose your sight or be unable to move.

Dare devils will have the chance to get their adrenalin fix while at the same time raising vital funds for a very worthwhile cause. “Something like this doesn’t happen in Dundee everyday so I would urge anyone interested to get in touch and sign up. The Firewalk is also a fantastic opportunity for a group to come together and take on the challenge. “I have had a strong level of interest from our fantastic retailers so far so I would encourage participants to sign up fast in order to secure their place.” Elspeth White, area fundraiser for MS Society in Scotland added: “The Dundee Firewalk is a fantastic challenge and really pushes many of your natural senses to the limit. It’s also a once in a lifetime opportunity for anyone who wishes to take part. “We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to the generous organisations and individuals who continuously help us with their fundraising efforts. Without their hard work, we wouldn’t be able to provide much-needed support for people with MS and their families.”
