Mad Scientists Dance Extravaganza

The physics of dance will be explored during Dundee Science Festival workshops for children.

Dundee-based dance company Smallpetitklein is running free, fun and interactive dance and theatre workshops, taking children on a journey through a scientist’s laboratory, exploring experiments and their effects.

The ‘Well Good: Interactive Dance Experience’, is a playful exploration of the physics of the body through a short professional performance and workshop aimed at primary 4-7 children.

The workshops will be led by Jo Ricketts and Yolanda Aguilar, two experienced tutors and performers with dance and drama backgrounds.

Yolanda, Learning and Development Manager with Smallpetitklein commented, “We are thrilled to be part of such a fantastic celebration of the world of science. As dance practitioners, we are well aware of the laws of physics applied to the human body and we feel the need to share this information with children in a playful way. There is not a more appropriate environment for this than Dundee Science Centre”
