Community regeneration grants

Community regeneration grantsCommunities across Dundee are to benefit from Council grants totalling £70,000. The money from the community regeneration fund will be targeted at wards with areas of deprivation. £10,000 will go to Maxwelltown, £3,000 to Hilltown, smaller sums will help Dryburgh Community Association and Lochee Gala Day. Dura Street Sheltered Housing and Stobswell Toddler Group will also benefit. The Ardler Village Trust will receive £2,500 to help fund a project to look at ways of reducing what are described as chronic levels of social exclusion. Also benefiting are Tayside Fire and Rescue which has been allocated £500 to buy deep fat fryers to replace dangerous chip pans.
